Free DSL is in each bedroom. Cable television and extra phone lines are also available.
We have both garage and street level parking available. The garage is gated. No stacked parking!!!

The 2010 University of Nevada dorm rates have once again gone up. A single room is now $6,100 for the fall and spring semesters and the cheapest mandatory food card is $3,175. All of this expense must be paid in advance of each semester.The College Courtyard is a great value. At $435 a month, our residents get to stay in their apartments for 12 months (the dorms kick you out in May). A full year at the College Courtyard is almost $900 less than the nine months in the dorms---not including the food card.......and we have great kitchens with dishwashers and microwave ovens. Our DSL is free and our apartments spacious and furnished.There's more....our parking is equivalent to Silver permit parking and it is FREE. Some of our neighboring apartment complexes (to the east and north - OK, College Terrace) have stacked parking. One car is parked in front of the other. Can you imagine needing to go somewhere and the owner of the car behind you is nowhere to be found? That won't happen at the College Courtyard. All of our residents have single garage or permit street parking.

Parking at the University of Nevada is expensive. Silver permit parking is real expensive. The annual fee to park in a Silver permit lot is over $375. The parking lot at the southwest corner of Sierra and 11th is Silver permit parking. Right across the street is the College Courtyard Apartments. Our residents enjoy the value of Silver permit parking for free. Go to unr.edu and find the parking permit and fee map to compare. No need to worry about a shuttle bus to get to class at the College Courtyard. We're a block from the center of campus-- not a mile and a half in a dark and dangerous neighborhood like some of our competitors
Security is Important at the College Courtyard Apartments
Security at the College Courtyard Apartments is a priority. All of our entrances are under 24 hour video surveillance. Recently we installed additional gates and barriers to make the complex even more secure. At night the College Courtyard Apartments are very well lit and there are no dark corners.We encourage our residents to monitor carefully who is buzzed into the courtyard. We are a friendly place to live with just 60 students. Unlike the 700 student party complexes on the far east side of the University, we offer a great environment for the serious student seeking a safe and secure place to live. Google some of the party apartment complexes in the area and see the police calls. Would you want your son or daughter living in that environment (at night?)? We don't think so.

The College Courtyard Apartments are the best for University of Nevada student living. Here' s a few reasons why:

The courtyard is a great place to catch some rays of sun or just relax. There are tables with umbrellas available for your enjoyment. Please remember to lower the umbrellas after use (especially on windy days). The bar-b-que is available for grilling but please keep the area clean and pick up after all courtyard meals.
Useless Fact: In the U.S. the most common excuse made to get out of paying a ticket is to say they missed the sign.
More Uselessness: In 1958, the Crayola crayon color "Prussian Blue" was changed to "Midnight Blue" by the request of teachers as kids could not relate to Prussian history.
No Beer Kegs
Beer kegs are strictly forbidden at the College Courtyard Apartments. Kegs are not allowed on the courtyard or in individual apartments. All of your leases clearly state that large gatherings are prohibited. Kegs are only for large gatherings. Please be aware that if you bring a keg onto the property we will begin eviction proceedings immediately

Fortunately, the residents of the College Courtyard Apartments don’t have to worry about these increases. Our residents enjoy free parking that is close to the campus. With our students, instead of driving round and round looking for a parking space you can have another 20 minutes of precious sleep. That’s a real bonus and another benefit of living at the College Courtyard.
Useless Fact: The longest engagement lasted 67 years, and the couple ended up marrying when they were 82 years old.

Vacuum
A vacuum is available for your use. If you wish to borrow our vacuum it can be checked out at the office. Please return the vacuum immediately after use, as other students may need to use it.

Need Storage For The Summer?
The College Courtyard has storage lockers available for rent for only $25 per month. The 4’ by 5’ lockers are located on the second and third floors. These storage lockers are a great place to store skis, bicycles, or camping equipment. See Rebecca for more information.
Garbage Tossing Is Not Sport
Please be considerate and do not throw your garbage from the stairwell landing towards the dumpster. Many times your aim is not on target and a mess is created. This is both unsightly and unsanitary. We would appreciate your cooperation

Please be very careful when driving through the garage gate. If the gate is going down, DO NOT try to slip under the gate. Once the gate begins to go down it will not stop if you press the button on the garage gate opener. It will only stop when it hits something and it could do considerable damage to both your car and the gate if this occurs. The gate is set to stay up an adequate amount of time for one car. You will be held responsible for any damage if the camera shows that you tried to slip through the gate inappropriately.

Security is Important at the College Courtyard Apartments
Security at the College Courtyard Apartments is a priority. All of our entrances are under 24 hour video surveillance. Recently we installed additional gates and barriers to make the complex even more secure. At night the College Courtyard Apartments are very well lit and there are no dark corners.We encourage our residents to monitor carefully who is buzzed into the courtyard. We are a friendly place to live with just 60 students. Unlike the 700 student party complexes on the far east side of the University, we offer a great environment for the serious student seeking a safe and secure place to live. Google some of the party apartment complexes in the area and see the police calls. Would you want your son or daughter living in that environment (at night?)? We don't think so.

While living at the College Courtyard you can actually get up five minutes before class and still make it on time. As many of you know, the University of Nevada continues to increase the parking fees on campus. The University has parking fee increases scheduled every year for the next five years. Fortunately, the residents of the College Courtyard Apartments don’t have to worry about these increases. Our residents enjoy free parking that is close to the campus. Our parking is the equivalent of Silver Permit parking and is a $380 value. With our students, instead of driving round and round looking for a parking space or waiting for a shuttle bus you can have another 20 minutes of precious sleep. That’s a real bonus and another benefit of living at the College Courtyard.

For your safety and the safety of others, please don’t drink and drive. Your futures are too bright to be wasted by a DUI or worse. Get a designated driver, walk or call a taxi but please do not get behind the wheel of a car while under the influence.

Please be very careful when driving through the garage gate. If the gate is going down, DO NOT try to slip under the gate. It will only stop when it hits something and it could do considerable damage to both your car and the gate if this occurs. The gate is set to stay up an adequate amount of time for one car. You will be held responsible for any damage if the camera shows that you tried to slip through the gate inappropriately.

Residents wishing to stay at the College Courtyard Apartments after their current lease expires must inform Rebecca by March 1, 2010. If notice is not received by March 1st we will assume that you intend to vacate your apartment when your lease expires and we will begin the process of leasing it to new students.

The safety of our residents is of the highest priority. The College Courtyard Apartments are under 24-hour video surveillance and all entrances are gated. You can do your part to make sure the College Courtyard Apartments are a secure and safe place to live. Never give your key or garage transmitter to others. Please report any damage or repairs that may be necessary to maintain safe conditions. That would include lights out in the common areas, parking garage, stairwells, front entrance and laundry rooms. We also ask that when ever possible you walk in groups and never alone at night. The escort service number is 784-6808.
Parking is Free and Easy
As many of you know, the University of Nevada continues to increase the parking fees on campus. The University has parking fee increases scheduled every year for the next five years. Fortunately, the residents of the College Courtyard Apartments don’t have to worry about these increases. Our residents enjoy free parking that is close to the campus. Our parking is the equivalent of Silver Permit parking and is a $375 value. With our students, instead of driving round and round looking for a parking space or waiting for a shuttle bus you can have another 20 minutes of precious sleep. That’s a real bonus and another benefit of living at the College Courtyard.
Sleep In, We’re a 5 Minute Walk to Class
The location of the College Courtyard Apartments is the best for students. We are on a quiet side street, just one block west of the University of Nevada campus.
Snacks Available
As you prepare for that final exam does the grumble of your stomach keep you from concentrating? A quick snack can help you quell those hunger pangs. New snack and drink machines are available in the first floor laundry room. It’s quick, easy and convenient.

Need More Storage Space?
The College Courtyard has storage lockers available for rent for only $25 per month. The 4’ by 5’ lockers are located on the second and third floors. These storage lockers are a great place to store skis, bicycles, or camping equipment. See Rebecca for more information.

In this economy, every dollar saved can help pay for books and tuition. That’s why living at the College Courtyard Apartments is the best value for University of Nevada students. We offer free DSL to every bedroom. That free DSL would cost you $360 per year at other apartment complexes or rental houses.

Location, location, location. There is nothing like the location of the College Courtyard Apartments. We are a half block from the campus and yet we are on a quiet side street. While living at the College Courtyard you can actually get up five minutes before class and still make it on time. No worries about catching a shuttle or trying to find a parking space when you live at the College Courtyard. This is just one more reason this is a great place to live.
Watch the Gate
Please be very careful when driving through the garage gate. If the gate is going down, DO NOT try to slip under the gate. Once the gate begins to go down it will not stop if you press the button on the garage gate opener. It will only stop when it hits something and it could do considerable damage to both your car and the gate if this occurs. The gate is set to stay up an adequate amount of time for one car. You will be held responsible for any damage if the camera shows that you tried to slip through the gate inappropriately.

Vacuum
A vacuum is available for your use. If you wish to borrow our vacuum it can be checked out at the office. Please return the vacuum immediately after use, as other students may need to use it.

Watch Your Step
During the winter months we make every effort to keep the sidewalks and stairs free of snow and ice. Never the less, please use caution after a storm. Use the handrails on the stairs and step carefully when on the sidewalk to the north of the building as it is steep and gets little sun. Hopefully spring is on its way!
Please Don’t Drink and Drive
For your safety and the safety of others, please don’t drink and drive. Your futures are too bright to be wasted by a DUI or worse. Get a designated driver, walk or call a taxi but please do not get behind the wheel of a car while under the influence.
