We have both garage and street level parking available. The garage is gated. No stacked parking!!!
The College Courtyard Apartments are one short block from the center of campus. No waiting for a shuttle (that never comes when you need it) or paying for expensive parking permits that are still miles from your class.
No Stacked Parking at the College Courtyard Apartments
Some of our neighboring apartment complexes (to the east and north - OK, College Terrace) have stacked parking. One car is parked in front of the other. Can you imagine needing to go somewhere and the owner of the car behind you is nowhere to be found? That won't happen at the College Courtyard. All of our residents have single garage or permit street parking.
Our Parking is a $380 Value - Just One Block From Campus
Parking at the University of Nevada is expensive. Silver permit parking is real expensive. The annual fee to park in a Silver permit lot is over $375. The parking lot at the southwest corner of Sierra and 11th is Silver permit parking. Right across the street is the College Courtyard Apartments. Our residents enjoy the value of Silver permit parking for free. Go to unr.edu and find the parking permit and fee map to compare. No need to worry about a shuttle bus to get to class at the College Courtyard. We're a block from the center of campus-- not a mile and a half in a dark and dangerous neighborhood like some of our competitors.
Security is important at the College Courtyard Apartments
Security at the College Courtyard Apartments is a priority. All of our entrances are under 24 hour video surveillance. Recently we installed additional gates and barriers to make the complex even more secure. At night the College Courtyard Apartments are very well lit and there are no dark corners. We encourage our residents to monitor carefully who is buzzed into the courtyard. We are a friendly place to live with just 60 students. Unlike the 700 student party complexes on the far east side of the University, we offer a great environment for the serious student seeking a safe and secure place to live. Google some of the party apartment complexes in the area and see the police calls. Would you want your son or daughter living in that environment (at night?)? We don't think so.
Why the College Courtyard is a Better Choice

The College Courtyard Apartments are the best for University of Nevada student living. Here' s a few reasons why:
- We are on a quite side street on the West side (the best side) of the University of Nevada. Seminary Avenue is quiet with little traffic (unlike very busy and noisy Sierra Street).
- You don't need to worry or pay for shuttle service. The shuttles to some apartment complexes are expensive and only come infrequently.
- No stacked parking. Each resident of the College Courtyard has an assigned parking space or open streetside parking. Our neighboring apartment complex (College Terrace) has stacked parking - one car behind the other. Very inconvenient.
- Each bedroom has a sink and vanity. No waiting for your roommate to get ready.
- Free DSL.
- We have very well insulated apartments with double pane windows. This keeps the power bill low both in the summer and the winter.
- We pride ourselves in keeping the building in great condition. We are locally owned and operated by University of Nevada graduates - not some faceless corporation or out of the area owner.
- There's a reason the College Courtyard Apartments are always full. We have great students as residents. Google our competitors. One was ordered by the City of Reno to hire security guards as there were so many unruly parties. No wonder they slashed their prices. Ask to walk around the complex of our neighbors without being escorted. Sure the model rooms look good.....check out where you really will live. Some don't even shampoo the carpets before you move in. Yes, you get what you pay for. There is a reason we are considered the premier off campus place for University of Nevada students. We offer the best value, location and amenities for the student dollar. And we are nice people too. We appreciate our residents and want them to truley enjoy their college experience.

Be a Good Neighbor
The goal of all of the residents of the College Courtyard Apartments is to achieve a quality education at the University of Nevada. An atmosphere that is conducive for studying is imperative. Please be considerate of your roommates and neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. We will not tolerate loud or large parties on the Courtyard or in the apartments and will take appropriate action against those residents who violate the noise rules.
Vacuum
A vacuum is available for your use. If you wish to borrow our vacuum it can be checked out at the office. Please return the vacuum immediately after use, as other students may need to use it.
Useless Fact: The last land battle of the U.S. Civil War was fought in Texas.
Laundry Rooms
Please be considerate of your neighbors and do not leave your clothes in the washers or dryers unattended after the washing and drying cycle.
Enjoy the Courtyard
The Courtyard is a great place to catch some rays or relax. Please remember to lower the umbrellas after use and keep the area clean. We will keep the patio furniture on the courtyard until the end of the month.

Please Don’t Drink and Drive
Your safety is important to us. Please don’t drink and drive. If you drink alcohol (please be 21 years of age and older) get a designated driver or walk home. Don’t ruin your life with a DUI or worse, death of yourself or others. It’s not worth it.
Useless Fact: India has the most post offices in the world.
Garbage Tossing Is Not Sport
Please be considerate and do not throw your garbage from the stairwell landing towards the dumpster. Many times your aim is not on target and a mess is created. This is both unsightly and unsanitary. We would appreciate your cooperation.
Useless Fact: 70% less energy is required to recycle paper compared with making it from raw materials.
Need More Storage Space?
The College Courtyard has storage lockers available for rent for only $25 per month. The 4’ by 5’ lockers are located on the second and third floors. These storage lockers are a great place to store skis, bicycles, or camping equipment. See Rebecca for more information.
Useless fact: There is no mention of Adam and Eve eating an apple in the Bible.
Follow Us on Twitter
The College Courtyard Apartments has a Twitter account. Follow our tweets at twitter.com/collegecourt
More and More Uselessness: The temperature of a burning cigarette when the smoker is inhaling is 1292 F or 700 C.
No Beer Kegs
Beer kegs are strictly forbidden at the College Courtyard Apartments. Kegs are not allowed on the courtyard or in individual apartments. All of your leases clearly state that large gatherings are prohibited. Kegs are only for large gatherings. Please be aware that if you bring a keg onto the property we will begin eviction proceedings immediately
For Your Safety
The safety of our residents is of the highest priority. The College Courtyard Apartments are under 24-hour video surveillance and all entrances are gated. You can do your part to make sure the College Courtyard Apartments are a secure and safe place to live. Never give your key or garage transmitter to others. Report any damage or repairs that may be necessary to maintain safe conditions. That would include lights out in the common areas, parking garage, stairwells, front entrance and laundry rooms.
Watch Your Step
As the seasons begin to change a sudden winter storm is always a possibility. Please be careful and watch your step if a snowstorm should occur. We shovel snow and sand the sidewalks and steps after every storm but you should be cautious never the less. The sidewalk on the north side of the building gets little sun in the winter and the steep hill can be treacherous. Please be careful.
Reserved Parking
Only residents may park in the garage and only in their assigned spaces. Cars that are parked in spaces not assigned to them will be booted and there is an $80 fee to remove the boot. If someone is in your assigned parking space call 691-8290 and a boot will be placed on the car. It is your responsibility if you change cars or have a different license plate number to inform Rebecca. If your license number is not on file in the office your car may be booted.
Interesting Useless: The Eisenhower interstate system requires that 1 mile in every 5 must be straight. These straight sections are usable as airstrips in emergency situations.

All residents of the College Courtyard Apartments may enter our drawing for a free ride in a balloon during the Great Reno Balloon Race. Get your entry from Rebecca. The drawing will be held September 7th. The ride will be on Thursday September 9th at 6:15am. Even if you don’t win, don’t forget to attend this year’s race. If you have never seen the Dawn Patrol it is worth getting up early to see.
Useless Fact: More people are killed each year from bees than from snakes.

We're filling fast, Don't delay!
The incoming freshman class at the University of Nevada, Reno will be the largest in the history of the institution. The College Courtyard Apartments are filling fast. Don't delay or you may miss out on the best value and location for students. 775-786-1150.
It's a Crowded Bedroom At the Argenta Hall Dorms
The Argenta Hall dorm at the University of Nevada is putting three students in each bedroom. That means a crowded room and three people being forced to share one bathroom. At the College Courtyard Apartments, our residents enjoy a private bedroom that is not shared with other students. In addition each bedroom has its own sink and vanity. In so many ways we are a better value and choice than the dorms. Remember, it is not necessary to live in the dorms if you are a freshman.

Cheaper than the Dorms - And so much more in amenities

The 2010 University of Nevada dorm rates have once again gone up. A single room is now $6,100 for the fall and spring semesters and the cheapest mandatory food card is $3,175. All of this expense must be paid in advance of each semester. The College Courtyard is a great value. At $435 a month, our residents get to stay in their apartments for 12 months (the dorms kick you out in May). A full year at the College Courtyard is almost $900 less than the nine months in the dorms---not including the food card.......and we have great kitchens with dishwashers and microwave ovens. Our DSL is free and our apartments spacious and furnished. There's more....our parking is equivalent to Silver permit parking and it is FREE. A Silver permit at UNR is $380 per year.In this economy, there's no better place for students than the College Courtyard Apartments.Visit us and reserve your spot. I hope that all of you have had a wonderful summer. As the new school year is just weeks away, we are preparing for our annual influx of new students. For those of you who will be leaving us, please break down any boxes you put into the dumpster. We have arranged for daily pickup during the move-out and move-in period but the dumpster still fills up fast if boxes are not broken down. As always, it gets hectic around here during flip-week but our goal is to get the entire complex up to perfect so that the new students have a great new home.

We have arranged for daily pickup during the move-out and move-in period but the dumpster still fills up fast if boxes are not broken down. As always, it gets hectic around here during flip-week but our goal is to get the entire complex up to perfect so that the new students have a great new home.
Safety is Important
The safety of our residents is of the highest priority. The College Courtyard Apartments are under 24-hour video surveillance and all entrances are gated. You can do your part to make sure the College Courtyard Apartments are a secure and safe place to live. Never give your key or garage transmitter to others. Please report any damage or repairs that may be necessary to maintain safe conditions. That would include lights out in the common areas, parking garage, stairwells, front entrance and laundry rooms. We also ask that when ever possible you walk in groups and never alone at night. The escort service number is 784-6808.
Laundry Rooms
Please be considerate of your neighbors and do not leave your clothes in the washers or dryers unattended after the washing and drying cycle
Vacuum
A vacuum is available for your use. If you wish to borrow our vacuum it can be checked out at the office. Please return the vacuum immediately after use, as other students may need to use it.
Computer Lab
Residents using the computer lab during evenings or weekends need to sign-in before using the computers. These computers are for our residents only and we want to ensure that our residents have access to the computers when desired.
Loading Zone
Please be aware that the parking enforcement officers for the City of Reno will ticket cars that are parked in our loading zone for long periods of time. This ticketing will be done regardless of whether or not the car has a Seminary Avenue parking permit. This strict parking enforcement is being done at the request of the Postal Carriers, as they do not like restricted access to the building. All residents of the College Courtyard Apartments should appreciate this enforcement as it allows a convenient loading and unloading area for you, family and friends.
Useless Fact: The trucking company Elvis Presley worked at as a young man was owned by Frank Sinatra.
No
Smoking
The College Courtyard Apartments are non-smoking student residences. Smoking is prohibited in the apartments, on the walkways, balconies and the courtyard. Guests entering the apartments with a cigarette may extinguish them in the urns by the front gate.
Useless Fact: The reason why bubbles are round is because this is the most efficient shape that the soap film can take for the amount of air trapped inside.
No Parking
The area in front of the dumpster is a no parking zone. Cars parked in the area in front of the dumpster are subject to towing. In addition, Reno Disposal writes down the license plate number of cars that block the dumpster and violators may have to pay for additional garbage pickups.
Useless Fact: In England, the Speaker of the House is not allowed to speak.
Useless Fact: Approximately two-thirds of people tip their head to the right when they kiss. Some scholars speculate this preference starts in the womb.
Need Storage?
The College Courtyard has storage lockers available for rent for only $25 per month. The 4’ by 5’ lockers are located on the second and third floors. These storage lockers are a great place to store skis, bicycles, or camping equipment. See Rebecca for more information.

Useless Fact: Leonardo De Vinci invented the scissors.
Look Both Ways
It is very important that all of you be careful when crossing Sierra Street. Even though the crosswalk is well marked many drivers are speeding or not paying attention to pedestrians.
Useless Fact: The mouth is full of bacteria. When two people kiss, they exchange between 10 million and 1 billion bacteria.
More Uselessness: Babies and toddlers are, pound for pound, stronger than oxen. This is especially true of their legs.
Watch the Gate
Please be very careful when driving through the garage gate. If the gate is going down, DO NOT try to slip under the gate. Once the gate begins to go down it will not stop if you press the button on the garage gate opener. It will only stop when it hits something and it could do considerable damage to both your car and the gate if this occurs. The gate is set to stay up an adequate amount of time for one car. You will
be held responsible for any damage if the camera shows that you tried to slip through the gate inappropriately.
Last Useless Fact: Babies are born without kneecaps.

Compare us to the dorms or other rental choices. Our prices and amenities can't be beat. From $435 a month. Phone us at 775-786-1150 or e-mail mailto:collegecourtyard@hotmail.com.. The College Courtyard Apartments are located one block west of the University of Nevada campus at 1150 Seminary Avenue (one block off Sierra Street at 11th). Our kitchens include range and oven, microwave, dishwasher, pantry and refrigerator. Our kitchens also have a table and four chairs.
We have a kitchen table with four chairs as well as a breafast bar with stools. Our neighboring competition does not have a table with chairs.
We have both garage and street level parking available. The garage is gated. No stacked parking!!!
The College Courtyard Apartments are one short block from the center of campus. No waiting for a shuttle (that never comes when you need it) or paying for expensive parking permits that are still miles from your class.

Call for more information at 775-786-1150.
We're a block from the center of campus-- not a mile and a half in a dark and dangerous neighborhood like some of our competitors

- The College Courtyard Apartments are the best for University of Nevada student living. Here' s a few reasons why:
We are on a quite side street on the West side (the best side) of the University of Nevada.
