Our living rooms include a futon, end tables, coffee table, TV stand and lamp.

 

Our kitchens include range and oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator and pantry. Our kitchens also have a table and four chairs.

 

Each bedroom is furnished with a bed, dresser, desk and chair. Each bedroom has a full closet. Each bedroom is wired for cable TV and telephone. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the building.

 

There is a sink and vanity in each bedroom. This is a great amenity. Take time getting ready each day with no roommate pounding on the door.

 

The Wiegand Fitness Center is a short walk from the College Courtyard Apartments.

The E.L. Weigand Fitness Center is a vibrant hub of the campus fitness and recreation, offering a gymnasium with three courts for intramural basketball and other court sports, areas for weight lifting, cardio training, and a multitude of fitness classes and activities. Additionally, it has an indoor, 1/8^thmile track and stadium stairs for training. Finally, there are lockers and changing rooms and administrative office spaces. The E.L. Weigand Fitness Center is available to all students, faculty and staff. 

We have both garage and street parking available. The garage is gated. No stacked/tandem parking. Parking is Free!

Some of our neighboring apartment complexes (to the east and north - OK, College Terrace) have stacked/tandem parking. One car is parked in front of the other. Can you imagine needing to go somewhere and the owner of the car behind you is nowhere to be found? That won't happen at the College Courtyard. All of our residents have single garage or permit street parking. 

Security is Important at the College Courtyard Apartments.

Security at the College Courtyard Apartments is a priority. All of our entrances are under 24 hour video surveillance. We've installed additional gates and barriers to make the complex even more secure. At night the College Courtyard Apartments are very well lit and there are no dark corners. We encourage our residents to monitor carefully who is buzzed into the courtyard. We are a friendly place to live with just 60 students. Unlike the 700 student party complexes on the far east side of the University, we offer a great environment for the serious student seeking a safe and secure place to live. Google some of the party apartment complexes in the area and see the police calls. Would you want your son or daughter living in that environment (at night?)? We don't think so.

•We are on a quiet side street on the West side (the best side) of the University of Nevada. Seminary Avenue is quiet with little traffic (unlike very busy and noisy Sierra Street and Virginia Street).

•No stacked/tandem parking. Each resident of the College Courtyard has an assigned parking space or open street side parking. The safety of our residents is of the highest priority. The College Courtyard Apartments are under 24-hour video surveillance and all entrances are gated. You can do your part to make sure the College Courtyard Apartments are a secure and safe place to live. Never give your key or garage transmitter to others. Please report any damage or repairs that may be necessary to maintain safe conditions. That would include lights out in the common areas, parking garage, stairwells, front entrance and laundry rooms. We also ask that whenever possible you walk in groups and never alone at night. The escort service number is 784-6808.

 Parking is Free and Easy

 

As many of you know, the University of Nevada continues to increase the parking fees on campus. The University has parking fee increases scheduled every year for the next five years. Fortunately, the residents of the College Courtyard Apartments don’t have to worry about these increases. Our residents enjoy guaranteed free parking that is close to the campus. Our parking is the equivalent of Silver Permit parking and is a $570 value. With our students, instead of driving round and round looking for a parking space or waiting for a shuttle bus you can have another 20 minutes of precious sleep. That’s a real bonus and another benefit of living at the College Courtyard.

 Vacuum

A vacuum is available for your use. If you wish to borrow our vacuum it can be checked out at the office. Please return the vacuum immediately after use, as other students may need to use it.

 Need More Storage Space?

The College Courtyard has storage lockers available for rent for only $30 per month. The 4’ by 5’ lockers are located on the second and third floors. These storage lockers are a great place to store skis, bicycles, or camping equipment. See Phyllis for more information.

During the winter months we make every effort to keep the sidewalks and stairs free of snow and ice. Never the less, please use caution after a storm. Use the handrails on the stairs and step carefully when on the sidewalk to the north of the building as it is steep and gets little sun. Hopefully spring is on its way!

 Please Don’t Drink and Drive

For your safety and the safety of others, please don’t drink and drive. Your futures are too bright to be wasted by a DUI or worse. Get a designated driver, walk or call a taxi but please do not get behind the wheel of a car while under the influence.
