Message from Rebecca

We have a few rooms still available for the 2011 University of Nevada spring and summer semesters. If you have any friends who may be looking for an apartment we are a great choice. With the price of gas now days, it’s great not to have to drive to school. Parking is also a plus as it is free and easy. Compared to the dorms we are a great value and we offer amenities that can’t be beat. To see all we have to offer go to our blog at collegecourtyard.blogspot.com.

Vote!

Vote. Vote. Vote. Vote. It is important that everyone vote this November 2. You can vote at the Joe Crowley Student Union. It is imperative that your voice is heard. Vote for those candidates who believe education is a priority and those who support the University of Nevada, Reno. Vote. Vote. Vote. Vote.

Useless Fact: America's favorite Crayola crayon color is blue.

Watch Your Step

As winter arrives we must be ready for inclement weather and especially snowstorms. Please be careful and watch your step if a snowstorm should occur. We shovel snow and sand the sidewalks and steps after every storm but you should be cautious never the less. The sidewalk on the north side of the building gets little sun in the winter and the steep hill can be treacherous. Please be careful.

Laundry Rooms

Please be considerate of your neighbors and do not leave your clothes in the washers or dryers unattended after the washing and drying cycle.

Security is Important

Security at the College Courtyard Apartments is a priority. All of our entrances are under 24 hour video surveillance. Recently we installed additional gates and barriers to make the complex even more secure. At night the College Courtyard Apartments are very well lit and there are no dark corners. We encourage our residents to monitor carefully who is buzzed into the courtyard.

Useless Fact: On average, the life span of an American dollar bill is eighteen months.

Need More Storage Space?

The College Courtyard has storage lockers available for rent for only $25 per month. The 4’ by 5’ lockers are located on the second and third floors. These storage lockers are a great place to store skis, bicycles, or camping equipment. See Rebecca for more information.

Useless fact: The best time for a person to buy shoes is in the afternoon. This is because the foot tends to swell a bit around this time.

Snacks Available

As you study for your exams does the grumble of your stomach keep you from concentrating? A quick snack can help you quell those hunger pangs. New snack and drink machines are available in the first floor laundry room. It’s quick, easy and convenient.

More uselessness: An average home creates more pollution than does the average car.

Useless Fact: It costs about 3 cents to make a $1 bill in the United States.

Vacuum

A vacuum is available for your use. If you wish to borrow our vacuum it can be checked out at the office. Please return the vacuum immediately after use, as other students may need to use it.

Laundry Rooms

Please be considerate of your neighbors and do not leave your clothes in the washers or dryers unattended after the washing and drying cycle.

More Uselessness: Barbie's boyfriend Ken was not sold in India until recently because it clashed with the traditional arranged marriage.

For Your Safety

The safety of our residents is of the highest priority. The College Courtyard Apartments are under 24-hour video surveillance and all entrances are gated. You can do your part to make sure the College Courtyard Apartments are a secure and safe place to live. Never give your key or garage transmitter to others. Report any damage or repairs that may be necessary to maintain safe conditions. That would include lights out in the common areas, parking garage, stairwells, front entrance and laundry rooms.

More Useless Facts: 98% of houses in the United States have at least one television set.

More Useless Facts: The life expectancy of a garbage disposal is about 5 to 10 years.
